Skateboarding Videos

The skateboard video is probably the only other skateboarding item that skateboarders treasure as much as their skateboard. Skateboard videos can serve instructional purposes, such as to teach new skaters how to feel comfortable on their skateboards or how to teach skateboarders on any level how to do tricks; skateboarding videos can also simply be an exhibition of the talents of pro skaters.

As an example of the first type of skateboarding videos there is the DVD Skateboarding Explained, a video aimed at beginner or intermediate skaters; this skateboarding video teaches beginners some skateboarding basics but then goes on to give some tips on intermediate level tricks. It is a straightforward and relatively simple skating guide and can either be watched from start to finish or you can just go directly to the part that interests you.

This video was created and directed by the pro skater Dan MacFarlane, who has been teaching skateboarding at his skateboard camp for close to ten years. MacFarlane has even taught skaters who today are pros themselves. Indeed, though a large part of the video is dedicated to some of the fundamental points of skateboarding, it touches on topics that even experienced skaters should keep in mind. The video itself is directed well, with tricks and important moves being showed in slow motion.

But, as mentioned, not all skateboarding videos are instructional videos. There are many that are simply for pure fun, showing off how good the pros are. One of the top skateboarding videos is the Habitat Mosaic video, appreciated also for its artistic appeal. Pros like Danny Renaud, Brian Wenning, Tom O’Connor, Fred Gall and others are featured in this video; you’ll see them ollying, doing manuals, wall riding, doing lengthy runs, riding rails and ledges, doing kickflips, gaps and other tricks, all to set to cool music.

Another very cool video that has the job of displaying some real skateboard talent is Zero’s Dying to Live. Team members that appear on the video include Jamie Thomas, Adrian Lopez, Ryan Bobier, Chris Cole and others. Footage was shot in many locations around the world, which makes this video incredibly interesting. You’ll see rail skating, pool skating and even get the treat of watching some team member bails.

If you’re on a budget and don’t want to purchase videos of skateboarding, there are many options for obtaining free skateboard videos. One of the most popular places to get free skateboarding videos, like extreme skateboarding videos or Rodney Mullen skateboarding videos, is the Internet. Indeed, you can download free skateboard videos from a number of web sites; free skateboard video downloads are available from online skateboard magazines and skateboard manufacturer sites. Skateboard manufacturer companies allow you to download skateboard videos of their team in action, like a Plan B skateboard video or an extreme skateboarding video of Team Element. You can also visit skateboarding forums to ask about where to find a particular skateboarding video download.
