Paintball Equipment
Many people hear about paintball from friends or online and end up trying it out. This is a gear intensive sport, and paintball gear can get quite expensive; it’s a good idea to rent paintball equipment before you make any big investments. As with any sport, there is the essential equipment and there are the cool accessories.
One of the most essential paintball supplies you’re going to need is a paintball mask; you’d be crazy to play without one, and besides, no paintball facility will let you anywhere near a field if you’re not wearing a mask. You’re obviously also going to need a paintball gun, also called a marker. There are different types of guns and you should do some research as to which one is best for you, both in terms of performance and price.
You’ll absolutely need some kind of barrel blocking device, to make sure that your gun can’t be fired by accident. If you’re playing with guns or pistols, you’re going to need some kind of air supply to power your firing action. Depending on the type of gun, your air supply will either be CO2 or Nitrogen (High Pressure Air, or HPA). You’re obviously going to need paintballs to fire and you’ll need a hopper, or a loader, so that your paintballs are fed into your gun; some hoppers rely solely on gravity to feed paintballs into guns, while others are electronic. If you’re using a pump-action gun or a pistol, you’ll need a paint tube, while if you’re using a slingshot, you’ll need a pod.

There’s also maintenance gear to consider, to make sure that your primary paintball equipment stays in top shape. You’ll need paintball gun oil to lubricate the inside of your gun and a squeegee to clean the barrel of your gun. Paintball safety gear besides masks might not be a bad idea. Some experts recommend other types of paintball protective gear such as neck guards, elbow pads, shin guards and gloves.
As mentioned, if you’re thinking of getting into the world of paintball, first try to rent equipment. Then, if you truly like the sport and see yourself taking frequent trips to a paintball facility, go ahead and give in to the frenzy. You can either look up a paintball supply store or a wholesale paintball supply store in your area, such as a National Paintball Supply store, or you can hop online to shop for wholesale paintball supplies or any other paintball supplies.
If you’re dying to get into paintball, but don’t want to pay exorbitant prices for supplies, you can also look into purchasing cheap paintball equipment or discount paintball supplies. You’ll often find used paintball gear among great cheap paintball supplies. If you’re really lucky, you could always win a contest for free paintball gear. Just because you’re purchasing cheap paintball gear, though, doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice performance; no matter what gear you purchase, make sure it works well.
