Surfing Wallpaper

If you’re a surfing enthusiast, then one way to express your enthusiasm is to search for surfing wallpaper for your computer. Wallpaper is everywhere on the Internet and all you have to do is search for the term “surfing wallpaper” and you’ll find a great number of sites where you can download what you’re looking for.

The sites you find will sometimes be online surfing magazines; magazines often reserve an area of their website for videos, pictures and wallpaper. Web sites created by surfing enthusiasts will also often have surfing wallpaper; they also may even have links to other websites that have different wallpaper offerings. Some surfers will even put wallpaper or links to wallpaper sites on their MySpace page; surfing forums will also have links. Some surfing companies or surf shops will also offer wallpaper; for example, one of the most famous surf shops, Ron Jon Surf Shop, has a whole page dedicated to wallpaper downloads.

You’ll find a great amount of diversity in the types of surf wallpaper available. There’s wallpaper that simply shows beautiful ocean scenery, like waves and beaches. These scenes can be of a specific location, like Hawaii, Australia or California or they can be of any random location. Often, the wallpaper that depicts a particular location will show some of the most important surf breaks, like Mavericks in California or Pipeline in Hawaii.

Then there’s wallpaper that shows professional surfers doing their thing. You’ll find wallpaper depicting the best male and female pros either just carving it up or flying through the air, in the midst of some aerial trick. Some wallpaper shows pros that have won championship titles, while other wallpaper shows pros that surf for a particular team.

You can also find wallpaper that shows products, especially surfboards and wetsuits. This is usually wallpaper created by a particular company or brand name. Companies also often offer surf wallpapers with particular surfers wearing their gear or riding their surfboards.

Retouched photos or photos to which certain graphics are added can also be found; these can make very powerful and awesome surfing wallpaper images. Some surfing wallpapers are not photos at all, but cartoon representations of some aspect of surf life. You’ll find classic beach bums, Hawaiian landscapes and cartoon surfers catching cartoon waves.

Thankfully, the majority of downloadable wallpaper is free surfing wallpaper, though there are some sites that ask for some small donation to be able to download particularly interesting wallpaper. If you don’t feel like paying to download wallpaper, or if you just don’t like the selection that’s available, you can always make your own wallpaper. Just grab your camera and head to the beach.
