Hot Surfer Boys

Just as with every other sport, surfing has its share of legends and big personalities. And not only do many of these personalities surf good, they also look good as well; indeed, there are quite a number of hot surfer guys. Surfing has seen many generations and styles come and go, with once larger than life personalities touting impressive surf resumes being kicked out of office by fresh faces touting innovative maneuvers and tricks. Thankfully, however, no matter who the reigning surf champs are, the presence of the hot surfer boys can always be counted on.

Kelly Slater was one of the new hot surfer dudes that was responsible for ushering in a new age of surfing. He is considered to be the most successful professional surfer in the history of surfing. This hot surfer guy is very creative in his style, fluid and just plain fast. Some of his specialties include tail slides and impressive aerial maneuvers. He was one of the first to ride Hawaii’s Pipeline wave with fluidity and ease. He has eight world titles, has competed in the X Games and was the first surfer to score two perfect rides in an ASP contest.

Another hot male surfer who is also immensely talented is Tom Curren. He has won three world titles, but was never one for fame. One of his biggest goals was to travel to unsurfed locations and show how beautiful surfing could be. Though fame through competition was not his thing, he was good at it, displaying an incredible competitive drive that forever seared him into the memories of surfing enthusiasts.

But perhaps more than his competitive drive, his amazingly powerful, yet smooth surfing style is what forever assured him a place in surfing history; many are of the opinion that he ushered in a veritable surfing revolution in the 80s and was a model for modern surfers, including Kelly Slater. He officially retired from competitive surfing in the mid-1990s but came back in 1993 with a Twin Fin board, resurrecting an almost retro style with speed and turns.

Taj Burrow is yet another hot surfer dude. He’s Australian, innovative and loves doing aerial tricks, reaching higher than most surfers ever dream of. He began surfing at seven years old and turned pro 13 years later. He has perfected the strategy of weighting his front foot and maintaining a low center of gravity, staying centered to anchor himself to his board. He’s filmed a number of surf videos where his skills can be admired; he is considered to be so talented that he has been inducted into the Australian Surfing Hall of Fame.
